Editorial and corrections policy
Someone who starts the washing machine by our curve is trusting a time and an amount. So here is where both come from and what we do when one is wrong.
Exchange prices
Every day-ahead price comes from SMARD, the Federal Network Agency’s platform, under the CC BY 4.0 licence, credited “Bundesnetzagentur | SMARD.de” on every page. We take no prices from apps, suppliers or other price sites and never alter the values: we only add taxes and your own inputs.
Taxes and levies
Each fixed part of the all-in price was read in the law or from an authority, with a date: the German Electricity Tax Act, VAT Act and Concession Fee Ordinance, the levies set by the transmission operators, and the Dutch Environmental Taxes Act. Anything we have not checked for a country stays out of the sum, and the page says so.
Assumptions, always named
Average grid fees, usage profiles, charging losses and yearly extrapolations are assumptions and labelled that way. Every calculator lets you overwrite them.
Rhythm
Prices are reloaded five times a day, after the exchange publishes the next day. Taxes are read again at every new year and whenever they change.
Errors
A reported error is checked at the source; once confirmed, it is fixed and turned into a test so it cannot return. Write to contact@kwhtoday.com. Radif Partners has no business link with any supplier or exchange.
